Salzburg Festival Tour 1
Panoramic view of Salzburg
In 2010 the Salzburg Festival celebrates its 90th anniversary, and its programme will revolve around mythological themes. We are delighted to present two exclusive tours, prepared in collaboration between The British Friends of the Salzburg Festival, and Travel for the Arts. The world-class performances offered in the following tours feature the finest artists; all in the city which still rings to the music of its most famous son, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Tour 1 offers the opportunity to hear Edita Gruberova in a concert performance of Bellini’s Norma. We also include Mozart’s Don Giovanni with Christopher Maltman and Erwin Schrott, and Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice conducted by Riccardo Muti, as well the option to attend the much-anticipated Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra programme of Prokofiev’s Ivan the Terrible, op. 116 with Gerard Depardieu as the Speaker.
